"I’m from Colorado, born and raised. I met Leila in California while we were going to a Bible school in Redding and we were put on the same worship team along with 6 other people. During our first team meeting we planned a camping trip and instantly became close friends. I was sad to have moved from Redding before Leila started dating Devan and I didn’t know much about him. But when I heard how much he liked Taylor Swift, I knew I could get on the same level. Since then I’ve gotten to visit Leila and Devan in California a couple times, and now I have the privilege of living in the same state as them!"

"I am Leila’s little sister and aspiring mini-me for as long as I can remember. A relationship of nicknames, laughter, and tears made her my biggest role model growing up. When the day came to finally meet “the guy” while I was visiting her in CA, I answered the door and got so excited about his arrival I ran upstairs to tell Bwana (as I call her) he was there. Leaving Devan and his friend at the door! I’d say that’s a pretty accurate view of how my relationship with Devan still is; me being my goofy self, and him suffering the consequences! I, of course, wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so excited to share in this important moment of their lives and all the moments after! AND that I will have full legal rights to be a total wack to Devan until the end of time!"

"My name is Marq Wilson. I'm a 27 year old from Texas, married, and have a kid. I enjoy short walks on the beach and I plan time to be chill at home that I give up to spend time with others (I’m pretty wonderful). I met Devan in the Summer of a year unknown to me. He and Leila came to Texas from California to visit family. So of course, one of my first memories with Devan is blowing stuff up. Since then, him and I have done jobs together, lived together been annoyed at each other and laughed together. He’s a pretty great guy. And now about Leila, she is just the worst. I’ve known Leila for all of my adult life. Growing up, her and I were very close. Playing board games throughout the night, hanging out with our friends together and her even working side by side with me. I have many amazing memories with her. She is still always trying to take care of me. I am definitely her baby brother."

A bunch of people got together to play football and we ended up on a team together. It wasn't long before we became roommates and I was introduced to some of his friends who have now become my good friends as well. I met Leila on one of my many trips back to California since I moved to the East Coast. We instantly hit it off since we both had a love for Star Wars that was greater than anyone else in our group. Over the years, I watched Devan grow from being a young teenager to a grown man. We spent countless hours at youth group, family events, and traveling to serve others around cities in the United States, Mexico, and China. One of Devan’s greatest strengths (which sometimes gets him into hot water) is his strong will. Nobody can change Devan’s mind, except for Devan. That is until he met his match in a young woman, who is beautiful inside and out. Leila is a sweet soul with a smile that lights up a room. She is the type of person that makes you feel better about yourself just from spending time with her. It has been an honor to know and share life with this amazing couple. Devan and Leila are “a match made in heaven”. They compliment each others gifts, talents, and abilities. I look forward to watching their marriage grow and the people they become because of their love for one another."

"Hi! My name is Finley but people call me Sisa. When I was 3 weeks old I met Yiya and Devan. Yiya chose my clothes and took lots of pictures of me, they’re still some of Mama’s favorites. Yiya held me a lot, and Devan smiled at me a lot, but then we had to say goodbye. Now that I’m big, I look forward to their visits because They hang out with me all day and we eat yummy food while we watch shows. I’m excited for their wedding because I’ll get to see them again AND we all get to dress up. Dresses and princesses are my favorite! Yiya and Devan are going to be so pretty!"

Aunt Yiya would stay up late with me when I was a baby, I didn’t like sleeping and neither did she. However, when I did sleep, she would hold me in her arms. Aunt Yiya is so much fun to play with. Our favorite game is when I run away and hide from her. Uncle Devan’s my favorite person to stare at. He’s so interesting. Sometimes we’ll play table-drums to make loud sounds. We also can chill out together and watch Good Mythical Morning. That’s a nice chill show, but The Office is my favorite show. That’s the one I always enjoy watching with Aunt Yiya and Uncle Devan because it plays my favorite song. I am very happy to have them in my life."
